Bent Rods Guide Service was officially started in late 2019. Sam Canoe and Josh Sikes are the current owners of the Bent Rods Guide Service. Josh and Sam have both fished Toledo Bend and the Central Louisiana area since they were both kids. They grew up hunting with each other when they were kids then over time drifted apart. They ran across each other again in 2016 and fished a few Bass tournaments together that is when the idea of Bent Rods started. At that time Josh was already doing some guiding and Sam was heavy in tournament fishing. Sam and Josh wanted to start a business that would teach other anglers about Bass and Crappie fishing along with electronic classes on and off the water. Since 2019 the service has grown to 8 guides and continues growing every year.
