GET TO KNOW YOUR ELECTRONICS

ELECTRONICS CLASS

Join us @ Cypress Bend Resort

Do you want to learn to get the most out of your expensive electronics? Do you want to learn to use them to catch more and bigger fish? We host numerous 6 hour electronics seminars each year where we will go in depth talking about three different subject.

1. Electronics setup and mapping

The first 2 hours we will go through menu settings to get the clearest picture on your graphs.  We will walk through both humminbird and Lowrance settings and how to fine tune your graph. We will also go through page navigations and how to set up your pages.  After that we will walk through mapping and how to utilize your map to find high percentage areas to find and catch more fish. These areas include points, ledges, creek swings, funnel points, ledges, drains, and ditches.

2. Image interpretation

After we walk through how to find high percentage areas on a map, we will spend the next 2 hours learning how to graph them and interpret what we are seeing on the graph.  We will walk through what fish look like on SI, DI, and sonar and how to decipher what species of fish you are seeing.  We will also learn how to find hard bottom, sharp drop offs, rock, stumps, brush piles, and roadbeds using your imaging. SI is always the hardest to understand, but once you learn to use it, it will help you cover much more water in a shorter amount of time! We will also walk through all of the current live imaging options and the advantages it offers.  We will talk setup, mounting, options, etc.

3. Seasonal patterns, fishing techniques, and tournament strategies

Once we learn to find high percentage spots on a map and graph it and find fish we will learn how to catch them.  We will walk through spring, summer, fall, and winter seasonal patterns and migration routes and how to fish each season. We will also learn how to rig and fish many different techniques for offshore fishing.  Lastly we will walk through how to approach tournament fishing, how to pre fishing, and how to catch bigger bags of fish.
